It’s really really easy to access all the backpacker necessities like dairy and grocery stores, New World Supermarket, banks, a post office, a library, fruit and vegetable shops, bakeries, pharmacies - walk along Ponsonby Road and you’ll find one right away.

All the city’s sightseeing and tourist attractions are easy to access using the local $1.60 ride on the Link bus. This service puts you in touch with the city centre and the inner city suburbs, including Victoria Park Market, Sky Tower, casino, Queen Street, Britomart Bus and Railway Station, Parnell, Newmarket, the Domain (Museum) and Karangahape Road (K- Road). Alternatively, it’s a lovely 20 minute walk to the city centre.

Going out of town? Uenuku Lodge is ideal for travellers who want easy access to the motorway and Harbour Bridge to continue their travels up North or to head down South.
