"Uenuku Lodge is the place with the space for travellers who like to skimp on sleeping
dollars in order to splurge on shopping and sipping."
- Lonely Planet 2009
Uenuku Lodge is "well located and
some of the rooms afford city views. There’s a decent lounge, a large
kitchen, good security and an attractive outdoor area."
- Lonely Planet 2008
"Comfortable and good-value hostel
worked into a warren of an old boarding house just steps from the action
right on Ponsonby Road and on the Link bus route. It's bright, clean,
good value and there's good parking."
- Rough Guide 2009
"Uenuku Lodge is a clean and well
maintained hostel on Ponsonby Road that has a TV lounge and a small –
but fully equipped – kitchen plus a nice outdoor sitting area."
